SEISMIC PROCESS SCALE-INVARIANT STRUCTURE CHANGES BEFORE THE NORTHERN BAJA EARTHQUAKE (MEXICO)

Stakhovsky I.R.

The results of multifractal analysis of seismicity preceded the Northern Baja earthquake (2010, Mexico) in its epicentral zone are presented. The singularity spectra of multifractal measures simulated spatial distributions of seismic epicenters and seismic energy are calculated. It is shown that singularity spectra of both distributions demonstrate substantial widening during last two years before the main shock of the Northern Baja earthquake.

Keywords: earthquake, multifractal measure, singularity spectrum, seismic energy, \(f(a)\)-spectrum widening.
